I took the reference photo for this sketch, I think, in 1969 or 70. The photo fell out of an old photo album and I couldn't believe my eyes when I saw it.I don't remember the trip, I don't remember who I was with, I don't remember anything about any of it; but I do remember taking this picture.
The man behind the mask has to be an old man now.
Maybe he'll recognize himself here.

ReplyDeleteYes! The Seafair Clowns do still exist. They will be out in force at Seafair events starting this Saturday at the Wallingford parade.
