Old Grain Elevator

This grain elevator may have been built by the Indians who lived here before the Europeans showed up looking for beaver. I know it was here in 1957 because that's when I first saw it. Back in those days it was about 3 miles west of the city limits, it is now about 3 miles east of the city limits. I wonder why they moved it?

  1. I really love this, Jim... your train is great.. the pen and ink really is a nice contrast to the watercolor.. funny how things change in our perspective as we age!

  2. Such nice sketch and great use of dark and fine lines. :) It really gives the nice relaxing and nostalgic feeling to it.

  3. Looks a lot like a Kansas scene. Good stuff.
