Cool Lady with Sunglasses

The sky was blue, the sun bright and the only way a girl could keep her cool was with an expensive set of sunglasses.

Sometimes a quick sketch captures the essence best.

  1. Really cool! I like both of your portraits, they each have certain qualities depending on your mood. I like them both!

  2. Jim, both of these are really nice. I like this one for it's feeling of a quick sketch (loose and easy). I like the last one because you did capture, so well, the far off look in her eyes!

  3. Your simple line work is amazing! I just found your blog. I'll be back often and I've added you to my blogroll.

    Very nice work!

This one and your self portrait are great examples of simple lines and color getting the essence of a subject.

Something I struggle with and am researching.

    Keep it up!!!

  7. I like the fluid, organic nature of the lines, and the integrity of the medium (watercolor). Very nicely done, very natural. Bravo.
