"Izaiah's Shoe"

I know shoes have already been done at EDMG, but This is Izaiah's shoe. He's four and he never wears two shoes at his Gramma's; only one. He spent the night last night and when I sat down to my morning coffee and newpaper this morning this one was lying on the floor. Calling out to me in its loneliness and despair, so I sketched it into my new sketchbook.

  1. What a sweet little thing! You must tell the story of why he only wears one shoe.

  2. Great sketch and great story! He probably only wears one shoe so that grandpa can eat his toes. Little toes are especially tasty. :-)

  3. Believe me, if we knew why he wears only one shoe, I'd tell. In his inimitable genius and sensitivity to truth, when asked, he simply says, "I don't know."

Yuk...eating toes? I thought only Diana Krall was eligible.

  4. Oh, what a sweet drawing and a lovely little story. It's very easy to tell that Izaiah's is very loved little boy.
