"The Beach at Lincoln City, Oregon, USA"

Walking early in the morning along the ocean's edge, and intoxicated with the crisp, cool air lying as still as a warm blanket across the beach, I happened upon this scene just north of where we were staying in Lincoln City with our good friends, Mary Jane and Don.

Later in the day, I grabbed my art supplies and headed down to the beach to see if I could capture it; and this is the end product of those labors.

This day was glorious with full sunlight (the clouds in the painting are nothing more than filler in an otherwise blue sky), no wind, no rain, and the temperature was in the mid-70's. It just doesn't get any better on the beach.

  4. The kind of day that puts a smile on your face as soon as you step foot out the door. I think you've captured that feeling perfectly! We've been having days like that recently (two weeks of it actually) which is extremely rare for Houston Tx.
