"Lonely Clown"

I found this clown lurking around online, so I captured him and his image with some graphite, ink, and watercolor.

I think he looks lonely. How about you?

  4. Beautiful painting. Why is it that clowns look so lonely all the time? They are supposed to be happy no?

  6. Nice drawing, he looks like he has seen so much and has a ton of memories of the good old past... maybe he is missing that?? Well done!

  7. I am not a big fan of clowns, but this is a beautiful work there! I am kinda wondering what's going through his mind behind the mask of makeup he's wearing

  8. I think most clowns are not very happy people (my father was a clown - yes, a real clown with giant shoes and all ... he was not a happy person). Your portrait has captured the dichotomy of clowns perfectly! nancy
