"Merry Christmas in '09"

Four years ago a friend gave me a package with Photoshop Elements 2.0, and a Wacom tablet for my birthday. I had no idea what to do with it. It has taken this long for me to figure out some of what can be done with these items.

This image, not my favorite of the six or seven Christmas images I have created, is the first totally Photoshopped image I have done. That part of it is the part I do like; there are not watercolors here, it's all digital coloring.

Anyway, I did another image that I liked, but when asked for opinions from my wife and kids, the response was at best . . . cool. It was a totally made up image of Santa raising a glass of white wine in a gesture extending his wish for a Merry Christmas. Ok, it wasn't all that good either, but at least it was an original. This image is a drawing of some figures we put out for decoration during this time of year. Oh well . . .

  2. Nice! I've never tried anything like this. It's great looking at all the different ways artists in this group are creative! Computers, mixed media, yarn, quilts, collage, sketches, painting, trading cards, all very inspirational.
