Bastille Day Celebration

Once in a graduate school summer school class my chemistry prof walked, stiff necked, into class, set a folded 3/5 card on the table up front, on its side, and placed something behind it that we could not see. Then he lit a match, placed it there and stepped back. Once the firecracker went off he said, "Now that we have celebrated Bastille Day, let us get back to the business of ...." That's what Bastille Day means to me.
