Break

8/8/06

For those of you who come here occasionally, I've taken a break as my wife was diagnosed with breast cancer in June. Following surgery she started a 12 week regimen of chemo and just finished the third session yesterday: so far, no nausea, no fatigue, no loss of hair. She's doing very well and if you didn't know she was going through this, you wouldn't be able to tell. We keep our pathways to God open, our hearts open, and our sense of humor sharp.

Later,
Jim

  1. I had wondered where you were - kept checking and seeing the girl with sunglasses over and over and missing your drawings. I will keep you both in my prayers that this continues at a low pace through all her treatment.

My strongest thoughts and prayers for returning good health go out to you and your wife. Hope all continues not this positive path.

  5. Jim:

Came upon your site while searching for sketchers. My wife was diagnosed in July 05, had surgery, did chemo then radiation. I know it is a tough thing to go through for the husband too! Try to stay positive it really helps both you and your wife.

    also, love your art!

  8. Thanks to all of you who responded to this post. It's good to know there are lots of good people who don't even know my wife who would respond. You've made my day.

She's doing very well; other than real short hair, there are no outward signs of what she went through with the chemo. She's triple-A personality type and on-the-go, especially not during the Christmas season.

    Merry Christmas everyone!
