  1. Beautiful sketch and beautiful colors. What IS that gold color you used in the background? Is it a quinacridone?

  2. The color is from Daniel Smith, it's hansa yellow medium and the darker shade is where the yellow is blended with, yep, you guessed it . . . quinacridone burnt orange. I love these Daniel Smith watercolors..they're really fun to use.

  3. I keep hearing about Hansa yellow -- guess I'll have to put it on my wish list. You have yet to steer me wrong with watercolor recommendations! (and yes, I've taken SEVERAL of your color suggestions!)

  4. I really like this drawing! The contrasting colors are really striking.

I like your Ducati drawing too. Ducati is a favorite of my husband's, along with all the other Italian made bikes.

PS We almost hit a opossum the other night.

  5. This is lovely. Drawing glass is my favorite and love the darker yellow in the center and the stamp. And the shading is perfect.
