" Here She is Again only this Time in Acrylics"

I have watercolored this image twice in watercolor - once on the terrible paper of a Sketchbook Project page, and once on a larger piece of Arches watercolor paper.

This one is all acrylics, a fairly new medium for me, and I think it turned out pretty good.

The original is by Amedeus Modigliani, and the model is simply a "Woman from Algiers." I am quite taken by Modigliani, as some of you may already know, and have decided to practice my acrylics skills by creating a series of Modig's pieces. They are fun to do and they come out looking presentable.

Maybe by the time I get tired of Modigs and his models I will have honed my acrylic skills enough to take on something else.

Meantime, stay tuned.

  1. Good job, Jim. Jarrad gave Don some acrylic paints and a paint pad for Christmas...I think he needs you to help get him started.
