Sketchbook Project #4: "Little League Park"
I noticed in the news the other day that Pat Prudhomme passed away. I never met the woman, nor her husband, Chet, but they owned "Prudhomme Hardware" here in Kennewick for many years. When I was a Little Leaguer I played for "Prudhomme Hardware." They supplied us with uniforms, bats, and baseballs; and in those days the uniforms looked sharp. In this little park I remember hitting a couple, or more, homeruns by smacking the ball into those trees on the far side of the park. They were much smaller trees then as that was in the late '50's. Great memories.

Great memories, even if they remind us of the passage of time and our mortality.
ReplyDeleteNice drawing,
xoxo
That is a great memory! Love your sketch.
ReplyDeleteI like to see a little bit of people's lives, great sketch.
ReplyDeleteColors on the trees are awesome! =)
ReplyDeleteSad news but great memories and a very nice sketch !
ReplyDeleteWhat a nice rendering of a pleasant memory. The colors in the trees are lovely. Amazing how we can be swept back 50 years at the mention of a name or a word which transports us. Nostalgia: bitter sweet
ReplyDeleteReally like the trees - you really captured "autumn."
