These two boys' hands were found in a Flicker photo this evening. I found it while browsing through the many artists listed in my "Favorite Places to Hang Out," but I don't remember which one it was.
Whoever it was made a comment about 'someon' being very good at finding Flicker images to draw, so I went to that site and found this image. I have two grandsons and these could be their hands.
It's a Staedtler Micron Pen, watercolor and my little moleskine.
Great drawing of the boys hands!
ReplyDeleteOH I really love the feel of this, Jim! The separate yet closeness of the hands -- your coloring and lines does well to evoke those feelings ....love it!
ReplyDeleteLove this...sepia is marvelous giving it an aged look...and all those lines give it great verticallity...
ReplyDeleteVery nice. I notice the watercolor did well on the moleskine.
ReplyDeleteI really like the verticalness -- the way the arms are hanging, I can feel the gravity ... good job! (And by the way, regarding your comment on my blog, I frequently hand wash clothes in the shower too).
ReplyDeleteI love the tones you used--it reminds me of antique photos. Lovely drawing!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely wonderful drawing Jim, those few lines tell a story of the closeness these brothers have.
ReplyDeleteThis has such a wonderful feeling to it. Great job!
