Great! I like the look of the charcoal. I'm afraid of it because it's so messy. Like the composition. Like the drawing of several hands in different positions. Very nice.
What kind of pen is that? Ok so now you know what my focus is. I've still go to work on my but your's are great - very escherish(sp?). But I still want to know what kind of pen.
This is so clever and creative, Jim! I love the shading and how surreal this is. I'm so tactile that I DO make a mess with charcoal. My favorite part is smearing it all over the place and smudging everything up. I see that you have more than a modicum of self-control. ;-)
Mirrors within mirrors ...
ReplyDeleteWhat a great take on this challenge and beautifully executed. Hands are sooooo hard! Mine is just a boring hand.

ReplyDeleteA very interesting recursive idea - hand drawing hand drawing hand ... charcoal is difficult to work with - you are very brave!

ReplyDeleteJaney, It's a holder and I've inserted some vine charcoal in it. Does that help?
ReplyDeleteWow, you did this with charcoal? What a mess I'd make.
